About Me

Katie Uveges, LMT

Katie Uveges is a Licensed Massage Therapist who specializes in pain relief. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. Since her primary emphasis was in pre-physical therapy, she spent her internship for UNC shadowing physical and occupational therapists for over 400 hours in multiple settings, giving her a unique perspective on integrative healing and the therapeutic benefits of massage therapy. She currently practices massage therapy in western Denver and Colorado Springs, and teaches physiology at the Colorado School of Healing Arts in Lakewood, offering a holistic approach to her work with multiple elements, including: myofascial release, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, and Healing Touch among many other modalities. She is also a proponent for CBD and other cannabis products, and hopes to educate her clients and the larger community to open the door for those who have not yet been introduced to their many benefits.

About Me: Simply put, I love touching people, both physically and energetically. I truly believe that touch has become a lost art in this society, and with it comes healing on many levels for each individual. Massage creates an environment for us to have space; a deep breath in the middle of the whirlwind of life as we know it. I am blessed to have the opportunity to be a vessel and a catalyst for each person that I work with. I live and breathe healing as much as I possibly can. I love to practice massage on my two dogs and kitten when I'm not practicing on humans! I love to snowboard and play sports, but I also find time and space for practicing yoga and meditation. My family and friends mean the absolute world to me, and I spend as much quality time with them as I can. I play violin and sing professionally, usually with my father in Colorado Springs. One of my favorite things to do is to see live music...where there is rhythm, there is peace. I seek balance in my life just as much as I do in my practice.
